Christina's Cleaners — Action Brief
Getting to 5 Deep Cleans a Week
The story first
Before any of this: Christina is the product. The Oxford Mail covered her in 2023 — Ukrainian refugee from Kharkiv, settled in Summertown, founded a cleaning company where every cleaner is a Ukrainian refugee woman. That's not a footnote. It's the entire pitch. Every letting agent, every estate agent, every potential client who hears that story remembers it. The premium price makes immediate sense. Trust is built before a single clean happens.
Every piece of outreach below opens with the story. Briefly, without self-pity, as a statement of fact.
Step 1 — Google Business Profile (this week)
Why first: Local search results show the map pack above everything else for "cleaners oxford", "house cleaning oxford", "deep clean oxford." Reviews determine who's in the map pack. Right now Christina's is invisible there.
Actions:
- Go to business.google.com — create or claim the profile for Christina's Cleaners
- Set categories: House Cleaning Service + Domestic Cleaning Service
- Add service area: Oxford, Headington, Summertown, Iffley, Jericho, Kennington, Abingdon, Kidlington, Cowley, Botley, Wolvercote
- Add photos: before/after cleans, team photos, Christina herself
- Write the description — use the story. Ukrainian refugee, eco-friendly, premium, Oxford community.
- Add services with prices: Deep Clean from £195, Maintenance from £55/month, End of Tenancy
Then — review push. Christina emails every current maintenance client personally. Not a newsletter. Her name, their name:
Subject: A small favour
Hi [Name],
I hope [home] is feeling great after [cleaner]'s last visit.
I'm trying to grow Christina's Cleaners so I can support more of the team. The fastest way to do that is Google reviews — they help people find us when they search for a cleaner in Oxford.
If you've been happy with the service, could you leave us a quick review? It takes two minutes and genuinely means a lot.

Thank you so much, Christina
Target: 15–20 reviews in 2 weeks. This alone moves the local pack ranking more than any other single action.
Step 2 — Letting Agency Outreach (week 2)
Every tenancy end in Oxford needs a professional clean. Letting agents recommend cleaners constantly to landlords and tenants. One relationship = recurring referrals with zero ongoing effort.
Target list
| Agency | Why them | Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Finders Keepers | Largest Oxford independent, 9 Oxfordshire offices, 50+ years | Call central office: 01865 311011. Ask for lettings manager. |

| Savills Oxford | Premium end, Summertown office — matches positioning | Direct call to residential lettings |
| Taylors Estate Agents | Established Oxford chain | Branch call or email |

The email (from Christina, not a newsletter)
Subject: End of tenancy cleaning for your Oxford properties
Hi [Name],
I'm Christina, founder of Christina's Cleaners in Oxford. We're a premium eco-friendly cleaning company — all of our cleaners are Ukrainian women I've employed since settling here from Kharkiv in 2022.
I'd love to be a cleaner you can confidently recommend to tenants and landlords at end of tenancy. We do thorough, professional work, we're fully insured, and we understand the standard letting agents need — deposit-ready results, every time.
Deep cleans start from £195 for a studio, £295 for a two-bed. We cover Oxford and Oxfordshire.
Would you be open to a quick call or a coffee? I'd love to understand what you need from a cleaning partner and show you what we do.

Follow-up: Email once. If no response after 5 days, call. One call to the branch asking for the lettings manager is worth more than three emails.
Offer for the first relationship: A free trial clean on a vacant property. One clean costs less than one ongoing agency relationship is worth.
Step 3 — Referral Programme (week 2–3)
Existing maintenance clients are the warmest leads possible. They already trust Christina. Their friends and neighbours are exactly the right profile.
The email (from Christina)
Subject: Know anyone who needs a cleaner?
Hi [Name],
Quick one — if you know anyone in Oxford who's been thinking about getting a cleaner, I'd love for you to send them our way.
As a thank you: if someone you refer books a deep clean, you both get £25 off. They get £25 off their first deep clean, and you get £25 off your next monthly clean.
All they need to do is mention your name when they book.
Thank you for being such a great client.

Step 4 — Pre-Sale Clean Package (month 2)
End of tenancy is competitive. Pre-sale is not.
A home going on the market needs to look immaculate for viewings. Estate agents actively advise sellers to deep clean. Christina pitches a specific pre-sale package — different framing from EOT, less price competition, higher urgency.
Pitch to: Savills, Knight Frank, North Oxford Property Services, Strutt & Parker Oxford.
The angle: "We make properties photograph better and show better. Sellers who use us before going on the market get better first impressions." One clean = one estate agent relationship = recurring pre-sale referrals.
Step 5 — Removal Company Partnerships (month 2)
Removal companies talk to people on the exact day they move — highest-intent moment possible.
Targets: Whites Removals Oxford, Aussie Man & Van Oxford, Bishop's Move Oxford.
The offer: £25–30 referral fee for every customer who books a deep clean. Zero upfront cost. Pay on conversion only.
What NOT to do right now
- No Google Ads — GBP needs 15+ reviews first. Ads without reviews waste spend.
- No Facebook — 20 likes is brand damage. Archive it or commit to 2 posts/week minimum.
- No Reading expansion — Oxford first. Get to capacity before diluting attention.
30-day targets
| Week | Action | Expected outcome |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | GBP live + review push to all maintenance clients | 15–20 Google reviews |
| 2 | Email 8 letting agencies | 2–3 responses |
| 2 | Referral email to all maintenance clients | 2–5 new client enquiries |
| 3 | Follow up on letting agency emails. Call branches. | 1 active agency relationship |
| 4 | First agency referral clean | First EOT booking from agency |
Combined: 3–4 of these running simultaneously = 15–20 bookings/month = 5 deep cleans/week.
